Students to host candidate March 25

The Biddeford High School news site, The Roar, will host a Democratic town hall meeting from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 25 in the Biddeford High School Little Theater.

With the Maine Senate District 32 special election approaching, The Roar will provide the public with a full view of Democratic candidate Susan Deschambault’s positions. The meeting will be hosted by BHS students senior Alexander Keely, junior Colby Perron, junior Jacob Bilsky and WMTW reporters.

The event will focus on Deschambault’s campaign and her overall goals for Senate District 32, which includes Biddeford and the towns of Alfred, Arundel, Dayton, Kennebunkport, and Lyman.

Moderators of the event will discuss a wide range of topics to include taxes, drug abuse, education and other local issues.

“I am impressed with the leadership of the students at Biddeford High School for organizing this event and I look forward to an engaging discussion,” Deschambault said.
