Lucky Pup Rescue

Mike is a big boy at 82 pounds. He is a 5-year-old Lab mix (maybe with hound dog) who was found stray and never claimed. His foster family says Mike is living with three other dogs and cats but his relationship with the cats is not going well – he is too interested in chasing them if they run. Mike thinks he is an 82-pound lap dog and has decided sleeping on the floor is just not his preferred lifestyle. His foster family encourages him to go back on the floor, but beware, if you get up in the night, he'll steal your spot almost before you've left it. Mike loves going for rides and walks. His real love is people – he loves meeting everyone. Mike doesn’t like to be left alone – he will howl for about 20 minutes after you leave, even with other dogs in the home, so Mike will definitely not be an apartment dwelling dog. Mike is not super food or toy motivated – all he really wants is to be with people. He chases the chickens in his foster home but does not harm them (he is supervised, so his prey drive may just be too much for cats and chickens). For more information, visit www.luckypuprescue.org.
