‘Beatles’ experience to be held in Saco on Sept. 10

The multimedia show, “A Day In The Life: A Beatles Experience,” comes to Garland Auditorium at Thornton Academy on Saturday, Sept. 10. This Maine-born show is making its first southern Maine stop as a part of its 2016 regional tour. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students, general admission, and are available at adayinthelifelive.com or by calling828-4167.

The five-person cast of “A Day in the Life” takes the audience on a multi-sensory journey back to the turbulent decade of the 1960s in a brand new production. A collage of media depicting the highs and lows of the counterculture movement during the era of free love, peace, and hippies accompanies the live onstage performance by the show’s cast. The cast recreates more than 30 Beatles songs, many of which were never performed live.

The show features Morgan Cates (bass), Ira Kramer (rhythm guitar), Josh Kovach (lead guitar), Andrew Carlson (drums), and Colin Graebert (keyboards). A Day In The Life is the only complete Beatles retrospective on the East Coast performed with Beatles-aged performers. Lighting design is by Micah Roemmich, sound design by Duane Shimmel, video design by Jalina Brown, and costume design by Emily Widdoes.
