Dance raises money for Ronald McDonald House

Friends got together to hold the 10th annual Rock & Roll Oldies dance on Oct. 15 at the Eagle’s Hall in Biddeford. Because tickets were limited to 250 and sold out, the group will hold two per year. The October dance raised $7,200. To date, the dances have raised more than $35,200 for Ronald McDonald House.

Organizers would like to thank the following businesses and people who donated to the event: George’s Sandwich Shop, All Day Breakfast, Hannaford, Lucky Loggers, Bentley’s, LaFlamme Lobsters and Seafood Center, TJ’s Pizza, DQ (Biddeford), Ray’s Market, Kerrymen Pub, Sea Salt Lobster, Federal Jacks, Maine Diner, Saco/Biddeford Savings Bank, Eagle’s Club, Diane Cantara, Octagon Cleaning and Restoration, Alisson’s, China House, Shaw’s, Scarborough Lobster, Landry’s Shop N Save, Lou’s Auto, Strike Zone, Dave’s Subs, Jimmy the Greek’s, Good Thyme CafĂ©, Dickerson’s Candy, 99 Restaurant, Market Basket, Duffy’s, Dunkin Donuts (Saco), Pizza Hut (Saco), Ace Hardware (Scarborough), Salty Bay, Escape Hair, Famous Dave’s, The Brunswick, Bell Coll., University Credit Union, Powder Horn, The Whaler, Palace Playland, Mr. Goodbar, OOB Campground, Lowe’s (Scarborough), Tractor Supply, Champagne Energy and Hanson’s Hardware. There were 97 door prizes. The Eagle’s Hall has been booked for the next dance, which will be held 7 p.m. to midnight, March 25. Music will be from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s with videos provided by Oldies ‘R’ Us. Tickets are $10 per person. For more information, call 284-4692.
