Having an ice time


The West Brook Skating Rink opened on Saturday, Jan. 7 for the season, after a postponement from Friday. The rink is currently being managed by Friends of West Brook Skating Rink, a nonprofit group composed of community members. David Gagnon, the group’s president, said that they hope to make the rink more community oriented. The rink is available for fundraisers by community groups. Groups can collect admissions money, while the regular rink staff collect concessions money. Pictured, Biddeford youths play hockey in teams of two.
