Democratic legislators to meet in Biddeford for town hall forum

Democratic Members of Biddeford’s delegation to the Legislature will hold a town hall forum to discuss their proposed biennial budget, called the Opportunity Agenda, from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 24, in the Little Theater at Biddeford High School.

Sen. Susan Deschambault will convene the town hallstyle public forum. She will be joined by Rep. Marty Grohman and Rep. Ryan Fecteau, both of Biddeford, who will discuss the Opportunity Agenda and contrast this budget proposal with that of Gov. Paul LePage. Members of Democratic Legislative Leadership, including Sen. Troy Jackson of Allagash, Senate Democratic leader, Sen. Nate Libby of Lewiston, Senate Democratic assistant leader, and Sen. Cathy Breen of Falmouth, the Democratic lead on the Legislature’s budget-writing Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee, will also be in attendance to answer questions about the Opportunity Agenda.
