Dyer to hold fundraising yard sale

The friends and staff of Dyer Library and Saco Museum will host the fifth annual Colossal Yard Sale 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 17 on the lawn of the library and museum at 371 Main St., Saco, with a rain date of Saturday, June 24. All proceeds benefit library and museum programs.

Donate gently used, family friendly goods for the sale – no cribs, car seats, strollers, mattresses, upholstered furniture, electronics, large appliances or clothing. Toys, sporting goods, yard care, kitchenware and dishes are welcome. Donations can be dropped off at the library during regular hours beginning. A 50/50 drawing will be held and younger library patrons will sell lemonade.

In addition, independent vendors can rent a 10-by-10 foot space to sell their own wares – art, crafts, collectibles, yard sale leftovers. The cost is $20.

Volunteers are also needed to sort and price items, set up in the early morning, work at the sale, and clean up after the event.

For more information on donating, volunteering or renting space, contact Nancy Tripp at ntripp@maine.rr.com or 205-1857, or drop by the circulation desk at the library.
