Biddeford WinterFest starts Feb. 2

WinterFest in Biddeford will be held Friday, Feb. 2 through Sunday, Feb. 4 and will include a giant sledding hill and dog sled rides, a classic rock Orchestra and comedian Juston McKinney at City Theater. This year will preview an adult sledding party on Friday night, a fire and ice event on Saturday called “Glace et Feu,” and an indoor wellness event on Sunday hosted by UNE medical school students called, “Limb-o,” which stands for “Laugh, Imagine, Move, Breath.”

Mayor Alan Casavant initiated WinterFest in 2012 and tapped resident John Maxson to serve as event chairman.

“This year during planning, we were struck by the loss of John Maxson who passed away in September. The planning group pledged to keep his commitment to the kids of Biddeford alive, and the sledding hill will be the highlight once again.”
