City sledding

Biddeford WinterFest was held this year from Friday, Feb. 2 through Sunday, Feb. 4. New Life Church members staffed the sledding hill, which was held the first night of WinterFest, for adults only. Tickets were $15 and included one beer at Dirigo Brewing Company. Ward 5 City Councilor Victoria Foley said the event pre-sold more than $450 not including tickets sold the night of the event All the money raised will go toward providing hats, socks and gloves for children in need. The hill was built by Thyng Paving, Peter’s Construction and Excavation, Larry Patoine Construction, Dee Quality Foundations and Excavating and Dead River. See more photos on page 8.
