OOB pantry aims to collect 1,000 pounds of food at festival

What does 1,000 pounds of food look like? Help the OOB Community Food Pantry find out. Drop by the winter carnival Saturday, Feb. 24 to donate nonperishable food toward this goal. A jar of peanut butter or can of baked beans is 1 pound; a bottle of ketchup is 2 pounds; and a bag of flour weighs 5 pounds.

OOB Community Food Pantry will have its black van stationed at the top of Old Orchard Street from 9 a.m. 1 p.m.
