SACO – The city of Saco has confirmed that William Mann, economic development director and the city have parted ways.

City administrator Kevin Sutherland said Friday, March 2 that he could offer no details on the nature of the separation, and Mann has been removed from the Saco city website.

Mann, who has been with the city of Saco since December 2014, has stated on his LinkedIn page that he wanted to promote Saco “as a place to visit, live, and grow a business” and has cited Saco Island as an opportunity for a “new period of vitality and prosperity for core of our mill district/downtown.”

As of press time a successor hasn’t been named.
