Marie Joseph to hold retreats

“Blessing: Discovering God’s Goodness” with Diane Dube will be held 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 18.

Through sharing, quiet reflection and prayer, participants will explore how God demonstrates protection, assistance and favor in ordinary and sometimes hidden ways.

“Creatures of the Same God” with Lucille Thibodeau will be held 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21.

What do the Gospels tell participants about Jesus and animals? What have saints said about animals and done for them? What is our concern and responsibilities toward animals? After looking at these questions, participants will close the day with a prayer service for these creatures of God and the people who care for them.

A weekend retreats, “Watercolor with Mandalas” with Mary Rich, will be held April 13-15.

Journey into the heart of God using watercolor and mandalas to discover what road signs we encounter along the way. In the process, participants will learn many watercolor techniques. Those who join do not have to be an artist to benefit from the retreat.

“Praying with Hearts and Hands: Prayer Shawl Retreat,” with Connie Bartleson and Marsha Hafferty, will be held April 27-29.

Join the Holy Knitters Prayer-Shawl Ministry as they share in the care of God’s people by using the gifts of their hands to knit or crochet sacred prayer shawls. Prayers and blessings are woven into the shawls. Shawls are then given to people for comfort, healing or in celebration. Basic knitting or crocheting skills are a prerequisite.
