Never forget



Gerard Paradis of Biddeford, a Vietnam veteran who served in the Army, fifth infantry, was drafted to serve in the war when he was 26 years old. Paradis attended the joint Biddeford, Saco Memorial day parade and ceremony held at Veterans Memorial Park in Biddeford Monday, May 28. The park, located at the corner of Pool and Alfred streets, includes five slabs with the names of Biddeford residents who died during the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, Korean war, Vietnam war, two panels for World War II, the Spanish- American War, World War I American Forces, World War I, Canadian/British forces, Civil War out of state militia, and two panels for the Civil War, Maine Militia. Paradis recognized several names of those who died in the Vietnam War. See more photos on page 7.
