Did you hear? Old Orchard Beach hosted an event June 15 dubbed the Community Friendly Connection that inlcuded nonprofit groups, medical and social gencies and other events. Right, Sam Heck was on hand from Milestone Recovery (formerly Milestone Foundation). With an extended care program located in Old Orchard Beach already, Heck, who is director of development and community relations, shared information about the new Women’s Addiction Recovery House to be added to its programs in Portland. Below, volunteer and Old Orchard Beach resident Cathy Chiasson manned the Community Friendly silent auction table, raising funds for a new ADA all-inclusive glider/rocker that is scheduled to be installed in Veteran’s Memorial Park (Alex MacPhail photos)
