Blues festival is this weekend in OOB

(Abigail Worthing photo) The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach will once again be host to top musical talent as Roomful of Blues will headline the fifth annual Blues Festival Saturday, Aug. 25.

The internationally known, five time Grammy nominated artists who were twice named Best Blues Band by Down Beat Magazine, will be joined by Maine favorites Blues Prophets, Continental Shakedown and Beyond Reason, who appeared at the very first Old Orchard Beach Blues Festival.

The event will run from 1 to 6 p.m. and feature music, food vendors, beer and blues.

Gates open at noon. Children younger than 12 are free and must be accompanied by an adult. Lawn and stadium seating available. Blankets and chairs allowed. No coolers, outside food or pets.
