Oldies dance raises money

Friends got together and put on the 15th annual Rock & Roll Oldies Dance on Oct. 13 at the Eagle’s Hall in Biddeford. The dance benefited the Ronald McDonald House of Portland. The event was sold out again with 300 tickets sold in 14 days. This time we had to refuse 81 people. We are now doing two per year. The October dance grossed $8,292. To date, these dances have raised more than $56,398.00 for the Ronald McDonald House.

A total of 125 door prizes were given out.

The Eagle’s Hall has already been booked for the next dance, which is March 23, 7 p.m. to midnight. Music will be Rock n’ Roll from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and 1980s with videos provided by Oldies ‘R’ Us. Tickets are $10 per person. Tickets sell out fast. Be there or be square.
