The Milestone Foundation out of Old Orchard Beach announced at its 50th anniversary fundraiser that it changed its name to Milestone Recovery. “We are very excited about our new name and believe that Milestone Recovery best represents the services and goals of the organization as we continue to grow. Our commitment to helping community members who are facing homelessness and substance use disorders remains unchanged,” said Bob Fowler, Milestone’s executive director. Milestone was founded in 1967 and is one of the oldest substance use treatment facilities in the state.
